Hampton Oaks Cooperative
Located in a revitalizing neighborhood in northwest Atlanta,
this development provides a quiet family environment and quick access to transportation
Completed in the summer of 1995, the 50 three-bedroom
townhouses in this northwest Atlanta neighborhood represents PRI's second foray into new
construction. From the beginning, the spacious, contemporary floor plans offered a welcome
alternative to the available inventory of affordable housing for families in the area.
Working in cooperation with the Atlanta Housing Authority, rents for low-income families are
subsidized using the project-based Section 8 program. Years later, the combination of
quality construction and the opportunity for cooperative ownership continue to be an
appealing package for many low-income families. Among a variety of supportive services available
to residents, the community features the Learning Link school-age care center, which
exclusively targets resident children between ages 5-12.
