Delowe Village Apartments
Delowe Village is located in East Point, Georgia, across
the street from PRI's Delowe Place. Delowe Village offers spacious apartments, and a comprehensive
program of supportive services.
Across the street from Delowe Place, Delowe Village has
successfully been transformed from a drug- and crime-ridden environment into an award-winning
community. Working in partnership with Families First and the Georgia Department of Family
and Children Services, PRI has created and implemented Project GROW, a program of supportive
services designed to assist formerly homeless families transitioning from welfare to work. Services
include addiction counseling, crisis intervention, parenting, budgeting and other life skills
classes, youth enrichment, and community organizing. Delowe Village now features 64 fully
rehabilitated, two- and three- bedroom units, approximately one-third of which are reserved
for Project GROW participants. The community has been recognized nationally with an award for
supportive housing from the MetLife and Enterprise Foundations, as well as with a Magnolia Award
from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
