Belvedere Pointe Cooperative
Situated off Memorial Drive near local shopping and transportation,
Belvedere Point is both conveniently located and affordable.
Belvedere Pointe was the first multi-family housing project
ever undertaken by PRI. In 1991, these apartment units were vacant, dilapidated and a drain on
the nearby Belvedere community in south DeKalb County (Atlanta). Responding to a request
from the county for help in their redevelopment, PRI combined several layers of public and
private financing to fund a complete rehab of the property and then oversaw the construction. Once
completed, the 24 solid and attractive units were marketed to residents as an owner-occupied
Cooperative, which PRI created and nurtured through its early years. Belvedere Pointe, along
with the several other DeKalb properties that PRI has developed over the years, has been an
integral part in the revitalization of the Memorial Drive corridor and adjacent communities. With
its very low cost basis, the equity and security of homeownership was made available to
very-low income families.
