Cedarwood Apartments
Cedarwood Apartments is a 184-unit garden-style property in Augusta which we substantially rehabilitated. It consists of a mix of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments, as well as 2-bedroom townhomes. The units are targeted for families earning 30%, 50% and 60% or less of the area median income. Major upgrades included the replacement of roofs, siding, windows, doors, HVAC systems, and new interior finishes. The existing pool and landscaping were updated and new amenities were added including a playground, picnic area, basketball court, and fitness center. The former leasing office was converted into a new community center in which a support service staff helps connect residents to outside service agencies.

The development was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits syndicated by Enterprise Community Investment, Inc., a first mortgage from Enterprise Community Investment, a second mortgage from DCA HOME Loan program, and an Affordable Housing Program grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
