Directions to Historic Scottish Rite Hospital in Decatur, Georgia

From Downtown Atlanta
Head east on Marietta St., from downtown Atlanta, which changes names and becomes Decatur St., then becomes DeKalb Ave. Stay on DeKalb Ave. until you get into Decatur (at which time the street changes names again to Howard St.) (you'll pass a water tower and the East Lake MARTA station), and turn right, across the railroad tracks onto S. McDonough. Agnes Scott College will be on your left. Stay on S. McDonough about a mile until you reach the signal at W. Hill St. Turn right onto W. Hill St., and the property is about a half-mile down the street. The property is on your right, a white building with a red clay tile roof. Parking is available on the street in front of the building.

From Atlanta Airport
Leaving the airport, follow the signs for I-85 North. Stay on I-85 North, it will join up with I-75 North, leading to downtown Atlanta. Just before you get to downtown Atlanta, take the exit for I-20 East. Stay on I-20 East, and take the Candler Road exit. (If you get to an exit for I-285, you’ve gone too far.)

Turn left, back across I-20, and you'll be heading North on Candler Road. Stay on Candler – you'll cross over Memorial Drive. When you get to the campus of Agnes Scott College, there will be a light at the corner of Candler Road and College Ave. Turn left at that light (don't go over the railroad tracks), onto College, and then at the next block another left onto S. McDonough St. Stay on S. McDonough about a mile, and then turn right onto Hill St. Go down about ½ mile, and the property will be on your right.

From 285
Take 285 East, to exit 39A (Decatur, Atlanta), and move over to the left two lanes, following the signs for "Decatur/Atlanta". Cross over DeKalb Industrial, and move to the left, which becomes Church St. Stay on Church St. through downtown Decatur, until you reach the corner of Church and Trinity. Turn right onto Trinity, then the next left onto McDonough. Stay on S. McDonough, and you'll go past Decatur High School, over the railroad tracks, then about a mile to the corner of McDonough and Hill Street. Turn right onto W. Hill. The property is about a half-mile down the street on your right, a white building with a red clay tile roof.

From Ponce de Leon
Head east on Ponce, out of Atlanta, past the Briarcliff/Moreland Ave. intersection. Stay on Ponce until you get to the intersection of Ponce and E. Lake Dr. (there's a Greek Orthodox church on one side of the street, and an Episcopal church on the other side). (If you get to the railroad bridge/Scott Blvd turnoff, you've gone too far.) Take a right onto E. Lake, and stay on E. Lake, under the railroad bridge. Go past Oakhurst Baptist Church and Oakhurst Presbyterian Church. You'll come to the intersection of E. Lake and Oakview – there's a pizza place on the corner, and a restaurant called Universal Joint directly in front of you. Turn left onto Oakview, and then a quick right onto W. Hill St. The property is on your left, a white building with a red clay tile roof.
